Incident Command System: Features and Principles for Shipping Companies

Overview

This training course introduce you in the Incident Command System (ICS) and provides the fundation for adopting the ICS Process for shipping organization.

This course descrive the history, features and principles, and organizational structure of the Incident Command System.
This course is also desgined to enable personnel to operate efficentlty during an incident or event in a Shipping Company following Incident Command System process and principles.

This course provide basic training on and resources for personnel who are likely to assume the rule of the Incident Coordinator or became an Emergency Team member in a Shipping Company.

Objectives

This course is designed to enable personnel to operate efficently during an incident or crisis event embracing the ICS concepts and process. The training course provide an overview on:

  • Background and development of Incident Command System (ICS)
  • Common ICS responsibility
  • ICS Terminology
  • ICS Structure
  • Unified Command Structure (UCS)
  • Operations duties
  • Planning Duties
  • Logistic & Finance duties
  • ICS Process planning cycle

Who Should Attend

This one day course provide training on and resources for personnel who are likely to assume a key function position within an Ashore (Safety Superintendent, Technical Superintendent, etc.) or onboard Emergency Team (Deck & Engine Officers) in a Shipping Company.

The Speaker:

Bruno Di Lascio

Develops, conducts, and coordinates in-office exercise / emergency drills on behalf of ECM for its clients around Europe since 2005. He also has design shore and ship Contingency Plans for vessel operators so that can respond effectively at any time to hazard, accident and emergencies involving vessels.
